Of all our locations for summer evening walks New Mills is right at the top of the list. At the meeting point of two rivers a spectacular rocky gorge runs right through this little town. Walking it (including on the famous Millenium Walkway) and through the beautiful riverside woods and meadows offers a unique combination of nature, wildlife and impressive historical industrial architecture, from the imposing railway viaducts to the historic Torr Vale Mill, built in 1790 and producing textiles continuously for an incredible 210 years. Thanks to everyone who joined us for a wonderful evening. See you again soon!

On May evenings beautiful insects soar above the river: this one is the Green Drake Mayfly. (Well done Su-Mae for finally catching one!)
