Styal Country Park and Quarry Bank from Styal Station – Sunday 12th October 2025 (afternoon)

October 12 @ 12:30 - 17:30

Join us for a gentle afternoon stroll through the peaceful Styal Woods and along the beautiful River Bollin valley. We’ll take a look at Samuel Gregg’s famous Quarry Bank Mill, a cotton mill built in 1784 in one of the most picturesque waterside settings, now one of the best-preserved textile factories of the Industrial Revolution. We’ll finish off with a stroll through the charming village he built for his employees. This should be high on your list of places to visit if you are new in Manchester. About 3 hours easy walking. Train from Manchester Piccadilly 1231 Return arrival at Piccadilly 1715.
